Our client-centered approach focuses in goals you and/or your family wish to achieve to bring harmony into your lives. The therapeutic approaches and interventions utilized in our practice are evidence-based and are modified or compiled depending on the needs of the child/youth to ensure that receives the best treatment to succeed both at home and school.

Each therapist brings individual areas of expertise capturing issues that commonly lead to counselling referrals, such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, divorce, parenting, academic performance, children’s mental health, identity, as well as to deal positively with difficult situations and work on emotional issues.

Alejandra Arevalo is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and is completing her master’s degree in music therapy at Concordia University, with anticipated graduation in 2025. She is also a Certified Music Therapist (MTA) and a Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow (NMT-F). Alejandra earned her bachelor’s degree in music therapy and completed graduate-level training in professional counseling in the United States.

With extensive experience across the lifespan, from infancy to end of life, Alejandra has supported individuals with a wide range of strengths and needs. Her work includes serving those with developmental disabilities, neurological conditions, and ageing-related challenges, as well as supporting clients dealing with mental health concerns such as trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, stress, addictions, suicidality, eating disorders, and life transitions.

Drawing from her diverse training, Alejandra blends psychodynamic approaches with music therapy to create engaging, success-oriented experiences that empower clients to take charge of their personal growth. Her integrative approach incorporates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Aesthetic Music Therapy, and Neurologic Music Therapy. Shannon Reis is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Honours at Yorkville University. Shannon also completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of Western Ontario with a focus in Psychology and Criminology.
